My account services have for quite some time needed a reliability upgrade. That is what I have been working on for quite some time now and it’s finally done.

Update September 15, 2025

I have decided to postpone the update until further notice. I forgot to update the other services’ backends and don’t want to rush it, so the below date is not accurate and a correct one will be provided once I have finished up some more testing.

I also want to take some time to finish the new website all the way so both updates can go up simultaneously.

I expect the new system to go up next weekend, the weekend of September 20

Original Timeline

However, the new account service will still need some testing which I can only do on the live site, so the account services will be unavailable from at least Monday, September 15, 07:00 UTC until at least Monday, September 15, 15:00 UTC

I hope that I am able to finish sooner and no major issues arise, but I can never be certain. It is conceivable that the account services are unavailable up until Tuesday, September 16, 19:00 UTC at the latest. If by that time the new system has failed to reach full stability, I will revert to the old system and set up a better testing setup locally to try to achieve stability before the next attempt on the weekend of September 20

This means that the store and MusicPlayer will be unavailable during that time.
